In 1985, Teen Challenge UK purchased the old vicarage in Gorslas. With much renovation work to be done, the building was successfully opend as an induction centre in November 1985.

It was soon aparrant that a residential centre was needed for women. Under the leadership of Audrey Rankin, the induction centre was refurbished in 1995 and became the new rehabilitation centre for women.
